Saw some really weird shit last night and I need to strategize with someone about... What the h3ll does this mean.

Last night I witnessed my friend sending out the group emails (https://stopmediabiasnow.com/emails/) from his computer.

He has an gmail account and all his emails are done on the gmail website. But he also had Microsoft Mail as a primary mail client on his computer. So the scripts on my website appeared to work. In other words, the script from my website tells the mail server on the computer to open up a blank email and populate it with the data provided.

This is where it gets weird...

When we clicked the links on the website, Mail opened up and created the email... All as expected...

For a brief second the display of the email was translated to Chinese... A second later, the email was translated back into English.

We sent all the group emails... NONE were received at their designated targets...

I have always suspected that gmail reads all of its emails... But are they sending them to China as well?

Does gmail have the ability to intercept emails that it does not want sent, making them look like they were sent but not sending them at all?
